Skydive

Well I did a 14,000 feet, tandem skydive for charity today. It was awesome!

The charity was Help A Local Child and the jump was at the Black Knights Parachute Centre in Cockerham, Lancashire.

I would recommend it to anybody and would definitely do it again.

Head Office Update

The next head office update is scheduled for release on 04/05/2006. Below is a list of the some of the main changes.

• Product information on stock card.
• Reset order feature on purchase orders.
• Menus on the main menu are now ordered alphabetically.
• Added graphs to report suite.
• New security functions.
• Modules are now built using release settings which may improve there runtime performance.

This release will be classed as Service Pack One.

New Customer

Mode has signed a new customer, Walk UK based in Middlesex.

Head Office Update Preview Part 2

I have finally finished rebuilding over two hundred head office modules with release settings. Now we have to spend time testing them.

Hopefully we will be able to release the update next month.

For the next update for head office, we are aiming to have all modules built using release settings.

We are also aiming to any fix any C++ compiler warnings, generated by building modules using release settings.

These changes may increase performance, because the complier optimises the code for speed and removes all the debugging information, when using release settings.
